<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Systems Analyst in Smithfield, RI.</p> <p>Key Tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Principal Systems Analyst will collaborate with product owners and developers to define and refine system requirements and user stories </li><li>Conduct current and future state analysis of applications and systems </li><li>Create detailed use case documents, system diagrams, and process flows </li><li>Translate business needs into technical design solutions and identify system interdependencies </li><li>Write clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria for Agile development teams </li><li>Analyze backend data sources using SQL and application logs using tools like Datadog or Splunk </li><li>Provide deep technical analysis of web applications and APIs (REST/SOAP) </li><li>Participate in backlog refinement sessions and Agile ceremonies </li><li>Support cross-team collaboration to identify dependencies and define project scope* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field </li><li>8+ years of experience in systems analysis, particularly with enterprise-level, customer-facing web applications </li><li>Strong understanding of web application architecture and components (e.g., APIs, backend systems) </li><li>Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA </li><li>Experience with modern web technologies such as Angular, Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Spring Boot </li><li>Expertise in analyzing data flows and integrations for REST and SOAP services </li><li>Strong SQL skills for backend data analysis </li><li>Familiarity with log analysis tools such as Datadog or Splunk </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to create detailed system integration diagrams and process flows </li><li>Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Self-starter with a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment </li></ul>
