<p>Description</p> <p>Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY: Performs nursing skills encompassing patient care and relative tasks under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse.</p> <p>Provides a safe, quiet, comfortable environment for patient, visitors, and employees.Demonstrates accountability for job responsibility and functions.</p> <p>Provides direct quality care and service to patients of all ages under the directions of the Unit Manager/designee.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education: High School graduate or equivalent.</p> <p>Licensure/Registration/Certification: CNA preferred. BLS certification for health care provider within 3 months and recertification annually.</p> <p>Work Experience: Recent experience as a nurse aide, phlebotomist, or EKG technician preferred.</p> <p>Physical & Other Factors: On feet most of the day. Must be able to assist in lifting and positioning patients and moving equipment.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity</p> <p>Occupational: Significant occupational risk</p> <p>Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
