<p>Our client is a global leader in delivering high-performance components for complex electronic systems serving the telecommunications, aerospace, defense, and broader electronics industries. Their team is now looking for a Procurement Manager.</p> <p>Salary/Hourly Rate:</p> <p>$120k - $140k</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Procurement Manager will manage supplier relationships, overall spend, and strategic procurement for critical electronic components. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will partner closely with engineering, quality, and product development teams to ensure strategic suppliers are integrated into the new product innovation process and operational excellence is maintained across the supply chain.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, aligning with business goals and new product growth initiatives. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to maximize procurement value and ensure supply chain reliability. </li><li>Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive continuous operational and financial improvements. </li><li>Manage sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs, proposals, and negotiations for pricing and commercial terms. </li><li>Collaborate with Supplier Quality and internal teams to assess supplier capabilities and ensure quality standards are met. </li><li>Identify cost reduction and value-added opportunities while ensuring supply continuity. </li><li>Monitor global market trends, evaluate new suppliers, and report insights to leadership to maintain competitive sourcing. </li><li>Communicate proactively with cross-functional teams to resolve supply issues and implement mitigation plans. </li><li>Develop detailed reporting for management and provide guidance to less experienced buyers. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/Skills for the Procurement Manager:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Materials Management, Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>8+ years in operations or supply chain management, including at least 4 years in direct material sourcing. </li><li>Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives globally. </li><li>Familiarity with Bills of Materials, ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms, and RFQ tools. </li><li>Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. </li><li>Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30% depending on business needs). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience/Skills for the Procurement Manager:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in sourcing within manufacturing companies or suppliers preferred. </li><li>Professional supply chain certification (CPSM or equivalent) is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Materials Management, Engineering, or a related field. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical. </li><li>Dental. </li><li>Vision. </li><li>PTO. </li></ul>
