<p>Anticipated - The Director of College, Career, and Cooperative Placements promotes cooperative work placements, which are essential skills for postsecondary success, by implementing a competency-based school career counseling program and supporting the transition of special populations. The Director ensures the integration of CTE with academic departments and fosters partnerships with businesses, universities, and community colleges while assisting in the development, coordination, and implementation of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in alignment with the District's strategic plan.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>1.Cooperative Education and Work-Based Learning:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate, implement, develop, and maintain Cooperative Education and Work Based Learning program in compliance with state, federal, and Chapter 74 regulations and guidelines, Child labor laws and Assabet school district policies and procedures. </li><li>Develop job opportunities for the placement of students in a cooperative education program as Specified by Chapter 74 guidelines. Provide all pertinent information to vocational instructors, Cooperative education students, parents, and employers. </li><li>Initiate, develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with business, industry, Community and other local, state, and federal agencies to promote work-based learning. </li><li>Assist in the identification and selection of cooperative education students using student career Plans, coop presentations, and student data. </li><li>Complete all placement reports required by the administration, School Committee, and DESE. </li><li>Conduct and coordinate scheduled cooperative worksite visits in compliance with DESE Regulations and standards. </li><li>Work cooperatively with students and staff in maintaining and providing appropriate record-keeping Of hours, workplace competencies, and paperwork associated with the co-op position. Interpret grades For teachers, parents, staff, and students as needed, and provide monthly statistical data in a timely Manner. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li> <p>Career and College Readiness Programs:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement workshops and programs on employability skills, job searching, Interviewing and resume writing. </li><li>Assist with opportunities for students and parents regarding the college application process and Financial aid. </li><li>Manage and implement annual college and career fair opportunities. </li><li>Actively seek business and postsecondary partnership opportunities to provide high quality career and college experiences for CTE students </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Assisting with CTE Program Development and Coordination:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in supporting the development and coordination of all CTE programs in line with the District's strategic plan. </li><li>Promote the skills necessary for success in postsecondary plans. </li><li>Evaluate and support the assigned CTE teachers through instructional coaching and the Integration of IEP accommodations and employability skills. </li><li>Assist in helping organize curriculum development for CTE courses and support school Improvement and industry accreditations. </li><li>Coordinate, conduct, and compile the 1-Year Follow-up Survey of student placement data and Report data as required by DESE. 3-year and 5-year Follow-up Surveys of student placement data It will also be collected and reported. </li><li>Coordinates activities of school CTE program advisory committees. </li><li>Assist in helping provide annual program evaluation, maintenance, and reporting. </li><li>Assist in facilitation, in collaboration with the Director of CTE and School Safety Advisor, the OSHA/CareerSafe Training exam and annual school comprehensive safety exam annually. </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Student Career Plan Management:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the development and management of student career plans. </li><li>Monitor faculty/student progress using career plan and tracking software, i.e., SkillsPlus, IRC's, etc And provide opportunities for planned reflections and make-up sessions. </li><li>Engage parents in the career planning process and provide necessary materials. </li></ul> </li><li> <p>University and Community College Partnerships:</p> <ul> <li>In collaboration with the College Advisor, serve as a liaison with universities and community Colleges on projects and initiatives. </li><li>Communicate partnership opportunities to faculty, staff, parents, and students. </li><li>Collaborate with the vocational-technical staff to establish and maintain articulations with postsecondary programs </li><li>Organize internal procedures for university partnerships and investigate new opportunities. </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Postsecondary Transition for Special Populations:</p> <ul> <li>Aid at-risk populations with targeted career and college readiness interventions. </li><li>Provide postsecondary planning materials and manage plans for special populations. </li><li>Maintain resources for special populations and assist faculty in creating effective career plans. </li><li>Collaborate with the Special Education Director and CTE Director with transitional career services. </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Operational and Administrative Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Compile and analyze data for program evaluation. </li><li>Maintain student records and prepare necessary reports. </li><li>Participate in school-wide reviews, audits, visits, and evaluations. </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Professional Growth:</p> <ul> <li>Attend conferences, meetings, workshops, and other professional development activities. </li><li>Join professional associations and develop goals for professional development. </li><li>Share relevant professional development information with staff. </li></ul> </li><li> <p>Any other duties the Superintendent-Director/Principal and their designee assign.</p> </li></ol> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in CTE program development and coordination. </li><li>Strong understanding of career and college readiness skills and postsecondary planning. </li><li>Ability to build and maintain relationships with businesses, industries, universities, and community Colleges. </li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. </li><li>Familiarity with state, federal, and Chapter 74 regulations and guidelines. </li></ul>
