<p>Functions and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Entering and maintaining supplier database information in the business management system </li><li>Request quote(s) to multiple suppliers </li><li>Build and maintain a supplier base - selecting appropriate suppliers based on price, lead time, and quantity. </li><li>Be able to accurately create, follow-up and expedited a supplier purchase orders or purchase requisitions. </li><li>Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customer, including current suppliers and new supplier(s) </li><li>Record, maintain assigned supplier scorecards. Investigate supplier responses and make needed improvements as directed by department manager </li><li>Document and measure supplier performance (product quality/on time delivery) </li><li>Adhere to ISO procedure qualifications and work with Quality Department to perform supplier audits </li><li>Addressing minor and major product/service issues with supplier </li><li>Solid knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP for daily assigned tasks </li><li>Research and understand current supplier abilities and products </li><li>Cost analysis of current products and vendors associated with scope of work </li><li>Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems </li><li>Negotiate pricing and terms of services with current suppliers </li><li>Support and/or drive FVMT continuous improvement initiatives </li></ul>
