(Daily contractual hours will not be modified to accommodate coaching schedule.) </li><li>Bowling coaching experience preferred. </li><li>Bowling knowledge and playing experience. </li><li>Understanding of Michigan High School Athletic Association rules and regulations. </li><li>Ability to communicate and work well with High School students. </li><li>Ability to communicate and work well with parents, Booster Club and the community. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Counsel students / athletes about the importance of athletics, teamwork as-well-as the importance of academic achievement / grades. </li><li>Monitor grades of students / athletes in the High School Bowling program. </li><li>Maintain academic eligibility log for student athlete participation. </li><li>Assist with the implementation of academic intervention strategies for student athletes to maintain academic performance and eligibility standards. </li><li>Adhere to academic eligibility for student athlete participation in games, conferences and tournaments. </li><li>Meet with parents of Team members, prior to the start of season. </li><li>Builds strong relationships with parents and the school community to develop a culture. for academic accomplishment aligned with athletic achievement. </li><li>Responsible for the preparation and submittal of a yearly budget and bids to order necessary equipment. </li><li>Assist football team in making decisions, planning events and implementing plans. </li><li>Coordinate with the Football Coaching Staff, a practice schedule and adhere to the practice schedule for the entire season. </li><li>Teach and coach student athletes in the techniques and skills needed to ensure a successful bowling program. </li><li>Be a positive role model and motivator. </li><li>Encourage student athletes to be student role models in the building; assist building in establishing Positive Behavior and Intervention Support programming. </li><li>Attend all meetings as required by the MHSAA and WWAC League. </li><li>Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to interact positively with students, staff and parents. </li><li>Skilled in collaborating with other professionals. </li><li>Comply with district policies and procedures (i.e., academic eligibility of student athletes, accident reporting, cash handling, travel and transportation requests, parent / assistant / volunteer approval and authorization procedures, etc.). </li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision. </li><li>Other duties, within the athletic department, as they relate to the sport. </li></ul> <p>This posting should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position or that this is the exclusive list of job functions or expectations associated with this position.
