<p>Van Driver Job Summary: Duties include provision of transportation for program clients to and from the office, or other locations as assigned. Demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring disorders and appropriate interventions.</p> <p>Position Specific Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Safely operates agency vehicles while transporting clients to and from program and community appointments. </li><li>Check email messages daily for scheduling changes. </li><li>Provides effective communication with staff and clients for successful transportation services. </li><li>Provides friendly customer service practices to clients. </li><li>Informs supervisor of any van repairs/maintenance as necessary. </li><li>Takes van(s) in for repairs/maintenance as necessary. </li><li>Monitors and tracks general van maintenance and care. </li><li>Adheres to all agency policies regarding transportation of clients, vehicle operation, accident reporting and cell phone usage. </li><li>All needed transportation services for clients will be coordinated and requested by program staff and not directly from clients. </li><li>Maintain log of all related transportation services and gas related expenses. </li><li>Requires ability to work with the public, ability to maintain an effective working relationship with agency employees, ability to maintain a professional manner at all times and ability to maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Other errands and duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Performance Competencies:</p> <p>Reliable and Consistent for Clients Maintain Appropriate and Professional Boundaries Use Safe Driving Practices Flexibility Communication Skills.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Driver will be working with FCS clients, who may have greater challenges with communication due to confusion, mild agitation, or active symptoms of mental illness. Driver should be prepared to rapidly assess any potentially escalating situation and engage appropriate clinical assistance or crisis intervention services.</p> <p>Behavioral Health Aide Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Aide (BHA) provides support and care to individuals facing mental health, behavioral, or emotional challenges. Working under the supervision of licensed professionals, the BHA assists with implementing care plans, facilitating therapeutic activities, and supporting clients in achieving their treatment goals. They also educate clients and families on coping strategies, monitor progress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. This role requires empathy, cultural sensitivity, and strong interpersonal skills to foster a supportive environment for clients.</p> <p>Required Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Experience or College Credit: 60 college credit hours OR up to two years of relevant work experience caring for children with complex emotional needs (one year of experience can replace one year of college, up to two years) </li></ul> <p>Required Certifications & Licenses:</p> <ul> <li>ODMHSAS Case Manager I Certification (to be completed within 90 days of eligibility) </li><li>Behavioral Health Aide Certification (if you do not already have, you will obtain after hire) </li><li>Wellness Coach Certification (if you do not already have, you will obtain after hire) </li><li>Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record (required for travel and client transportation) </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Behavioral Challenges: Skilled in supporting children and families dealing with disruptive behaviors. </li><li>Understanding of Child & Family Systems: Knowledgeable about how various systems interact and impact children's well-being. </li><li>Collaboration with Schools: Experienced in working with school systems to support children and their families. </li><li>Practical Skill-Building: Develops techniques that help individuals apply skills in everyday life. </li><li>Support for Medical Needs: Familiar with working alongside individuals managing medical conditions. </li><li>Strong Under Pressure: Maintains efficiency, meets deadlines, and balances work demands with personal well-being. </li><li>Organized & Effective Planner: Manages schedules and fieldwork to best serve clients, including home visits and meetings. </li><li>Clear Communication: Engages effectively with clients, families, and professionals in person and over the phone. </li><li>Physical Mobility: Able to navigate non-accessible environments, including climbing stairs when necessary. </li></ul> <p>Drug Free Workplace Policy: This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.
