Notifies and engages with respondents and associated entities to ensure high quality of data is collected and targeted response rate is met. Reviews data gathered for errors and works to resolve errors identified. Provides support to survey respondents and communicates with vendors as necessary. Responds to requests for information and data from libraries. </li><li>Assists supervisor with tasks associated with library development. These may include ongoing tasks, such as administering professional development platforms and/or monitoring compliance with statutes and regulations, or project-based tasks supporting initiatives assigned to the employee's supervisor by the State Librarian. Coordinates, promotes, and evaluates continuing education resources and events to enhance library development. </li><li>Facilitates the state grants-in-aid to libraries act by calculating library service area populations, conducting initial review of municipal budgets, tracking eligibility requirements, and communicating with libraries regarding aid distribution. </li><li>Provides administrative support to the division, including account management, data entry, spreadsheet maintenance, and library directory updates. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>The successful candidate must have:</p> <ul> <li>Three years of experience in library work, the equivalent in relevant education, or a combination of each. </li></ul> <p>Special Skills, Abilities, Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to multitask, pivot effectively between skills and remain organized to meet work expectations. </li><li>Knowledge of standard office software, especially Microsoft Office applications. </li><li>Communicate effectively orally, in-person and telephone, and written. </li><li>Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking skills needed to analyze issues and questions. </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships. </li></ul> <p>Post Offer Requirement:</p> <p>Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate: A valid Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate is a condition of employment for all employees of the State of Kansas. A Tax Clearance can be obtained through the Kansas Department of Revenue who reviews individual accounts for compliance with Kansas Tax Law.
