Caregivers in this unit are exposed to more than just one specialization, which fosters strong assessments skills, a wealth of clinical knowledge and continuous learning. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a long-term career in an ICU or the ED as this unit cultivates well-rounded caregivers in a diverse, team-oriented and fast-paced environment. To support a healthy team environment, G80 holds quarterly events outside of work (bowling, baseball games, etc.) and has self-scheduling.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am-7:30pm.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN. Patient care may include vital signs, weight, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheter.</p> </li><li> <p>Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A high school diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.</p> </li><li> <p>Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $18.25</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $24.95</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
