<p>The Branch Banking Management Trainee participates in a comprehensive development program designed to prepare them for a branch management role. Upon successful completion, trainees will be equipped to perform sales, service, and operational functions in a branch environment.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assisting in the management of an assigned portfolio of High-Value Clients (HVC) to strengthen and maintain customer relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifying customer banking needs and recommending appropriate products and services.</p> </li><li> <p>Referring customers to specialists when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Meeting operational, cross-sale, and referral goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting the branch management team with coaching and development activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Opening a full range of consumer and business deposit and loan products.</p> </li><li> <p>Accepting and closing secured and unsecured consumer and scored business loans, as well as personal lines of credit.</p> </li><li> <p>Achieving certification to accept and close home equity lines of credit and loans.</p> </li></ul> <p>Career Path and Development</p> <p>The Branch Banking Management Trainee is hired, trained, and mentored with the goal of advancing to a Universal Banker III or Assistant Manager role. The training program is designed to be completed within 18 to 30 months, based on individual progress and the availability of placement opportunities.</p> <p>Trainees will work on complex assignments, often taking on leadership responsibilities. The role demands sound judgment, adaptability, and initiative to navigate challenges and support branch success.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>UB I Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>1+ year(s) of demonstrated success in sales and customer service. </li><li>1+ year(s) of branch operations experience or successful completion of teller and new account certification within 6 months of hire. </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li></ul> <p>UB II Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of branch/bank operations experience and sales of retail financial products. </li><li>1+ year(s) of experience explaining credit products, accepting/closing consumer and business loan applications. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to move and lift items up to 20lbs and perform other light physical work. </li><li>Must be able to operate standard office equipment, including phone, personal computer, copier, etc. </li><li>Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. </li><li>Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions. </li><li>Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents. </li><li>Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. </li><li>Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job. </li></ul> <p>We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
