In addition, we provide a competitive benefits package and 401(K).</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Lead and Copper Program Supervisor role will make certain that Connecticut Water is positioned to achieve and maintain compliance with all current and future lead regulations. This cross-departmental role, which has a reporting structure within the Water Quality department, will serve as the lead subject matter expert for the utility. The role will develop and enhance processes and systems to achieve compliance with federal and state lead regulations. The role will be key to implementing and adapting strategy, as well as communicating and training internal and external stakeholders.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Overall</p> <ol> <li> <p>Lead cross-departmental efforts to develop, implement, and periodically review processes and systems to comply with lead regulations. Ensure that requirements of any state or federal legislation, regulation, or guidance are incorporated into systems and processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as authority on LCR, LCRR, and LCRI and other federal/state lead regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage scope and progress of consulting services.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other departments, including Project Management Office (PMO), to identify, plan, and implement any enhancements to existing IT systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Strategy</p> <ol> <li>Responsible for leading execution of Connecticut Water's strategy. The role will make recommendations to senior leadership regarding changes to strategy to ensure compliance and maximize efficiency. </li></ol> <p>Service Line Inventory</p> <ol> <li> <p>Responsible for executing inventory strategy to address unknown materials on utility-side and customer-side of service lines.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for managing consultant and contractor(s) with support of Project Management Office and Operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to obtain Drinking Water State Revolving Funds to offset impact to rate-payers.</p> </li></ol> <p>Lead Service Line Replacement</p> <ol> <li> <p>Responsible for optimization of LSL Replacement program and creation of system-specific LSL Replacement Plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Champion the LSL replacement and disruption program, including follow-up lead monitoring and related communications with customers. Responsible for ensuring that related processes are compliant with regulations and internal departments are trained.</p> </li></ol> <p>Corrosion Control</p> <ol> <li> <p>Lead development and implementation of tracking of corrosion control water quality parameters at treatment facilities and within the distribution system. Utilize Water Quality software and Aquatic Informatics WIMS system to standardize and automate performance review. Provide training to Operations and Service Delivery Performance staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Support cross-departmental effort to monitor corrosion control and provide analysis to mitigate risk of corrosion.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead or support efforts, in conjunction with engineering consultants, to conduct studies related to corrosion.</p> </li></ol> <p>Compliance Monitoring Program</p> <ol> <li> <p>Plan and implement with Water Quality department the lead and copper compliance sampling program in 65+ Connecticut public water systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that compliance sampling locations and sample site plans for the Lead and Copper Compliance program meet all regulatory requirements for completeness and accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for sample scheduling and receipt, testing, and reporting of results to the compliance agencies are complete and accurate. Utilize Water Quality software and Aquatic Informatics WIMS system as needed.</p> </li></ol> <p>School and Daycare Monitoring Program</p> <ol> <li>Plan and implement the school and daycare sampling program, which includes approximately 300 schools and daycares. </li></ol> <p>Communication</p> <ol> <li> <p>Develop and implement public education programs.
