<p>Part Time Bus Driver</p> <p>Location: Lakewood, CO</p> <p>Salary: $25-28 / hour</p> <p>Target Fill Date: Applications accepted on an ongoing basis</p> <p>Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design invites applications for the position of part-time bus driver. The Part-Time Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of passengers to and from designated locations. This role requires adherence to all traffic laws and RMCAD policies, as well as providing excellent customer service to passengers. The Part-Time Bus Driver ensures a positive and secure environment for all riders.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be 21 years of age or older. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Possession of a valid Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger (P endorsement). </li><li>A satisfactory driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years. </li><li>Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a bus driver or in a similar driving position preferred. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Safe Operation of Transportation Fleet</p> <ul> <li>Operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and regulations. </li><li>Perform pre and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in optimal condition. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness (interior and exterior) of fleet vehicles. </li><li>Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to their manager. </li><li>Complies with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) in operating vehicles for passenger transit. </li></ul> <p>Passenger Safety and Service</p> <ul> <li>Ensure safety of all passengers while boarding, during transit, and when exiting the vehicle. </li><li>Provide assistance to passengers as needed. </li><li>Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with passengers. </li><li>Address passenger inquiries and concerns in a timely and respectful manner. </li><li>Maintain working knowledge of streets and alternate routes due to potential road construction or other impediments. </li></ul> <p>Route Management and Scheduling</p> <ul> <li>Follow assigned routes and schedules accurately. </li><li>Manage time effectively to adhere to schedules. </li><li>Adapt to changes in schedules or routes as needed. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of ridership. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to use hands to operate vehicle controls </li><li>Must be able to sit for up to 90 minutes at a time while operating the bus. All delivery/pick up points are within 5 miles of campus. </li><li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required to include close and distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment + Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions. </li><li>Regular exposure to noise from the vehicle and passengers. </li><li>Schedule may be flexible depending on driver coverage and special events. </li></ul> <p>Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
