The successful candidate will have broad training in American national institutions and the presidency as their primary research interest. While we are not looking for a scholar of Congress or the federal judiciary, candidates with a secondary research interest in some other area of American national institutions (e.g., the federal bureaucracy as a whole or specific departments/agencies within the bureaucracy) are especially welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in their areas of specialization at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
