<p>JOB SUMMARYHealthRIGHT 360, a nonprofit organization and a family of programs, is committed to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to tackle systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity for all. We offer a wide range of services, including mental health care, residential and outpatient substance use treatment, and primary health services. Additionally, we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health, we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health, fostering resilience, and facilitating recovery. The Martin Luther King Jr. Behavioral Health Center (MLK BHC) is a program of HealthRIGHT 360 and is contracted with the Department of Public Health's Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) program. MLK BHC offers residential Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services for a maximum of 99 adult individuals, comprising 33 beds each for judicially involved men, men, and women. MLK BHC collaborates closely with other Behavioral Health Center programs to ensure a comprehensive range of services for low-income and Medi-Cal-eligible individuals. Situated on the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital campus in the Willowbrook area of South Los Angeles, the program serves residents of all Los Angeles County. The Supervisor II, Operations at MLK BHC Residential oversees day-to-day functions of the program, including clerical, technical, and administrative support. This role supervises staff to ensure provision of quality client care and effective performance to meet agency goals in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360's philosophy, goals, policies, mission, and vision. In addition, this role will oversee staff scheduling, customer service, outside agency relations, and other tasks as assigned by the Program Director, as well as other daily activities essential to incorporating HealthRIGHT 360's mission and values as a part of our service delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDirect Service</p> <p>Provide direct service as necessary within scope of practice, which may include crisis intervention, customer service, and any interface that direct reports may have with clients. Assume ownership for any crisis as it relates to service delivery and sees it though to completion.</p> <p>Operations Oversight·Manage day-to-day program administrative operations and oversight of assigned project(s) and facility.· Ensure all facility-related matters operate efficiently and safely.· Ensure compliance with all programmatic or project contractual requirements.· Develop and maintain policies and procedures as it relates to day-to-day program operations in collaboration with QI and EHR staff.· Implement improvements in the integration of behavioral health services to improve the quality and continuum of client care.· Implement new and innovative programs in compliance with HealthRIGHT 360's policies and procedures.· Serve as a Health and Safety Officer for the program. People Management· Interview, select, hire, and terminate staff in collaboration with Human Resources.· Ensure that all direct reports are in compliance with HealthRIGHT 360's policies, procedures, position expectations, performance goals, and contractual requirements.· Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, support, and conduct formal performance evaluations in a timely manner.· Identify direct reports' strengths and weaknesses and strive to develop each team member to their fullest potential.· Deliver and arrange training and resources to ensure that staff are successful in their roles.· Ensure proper coverage of the program by creating work schedules and approving time away from work. · Deliver all communications necessary to all team members to remain current with HealthRIGHT 360's policies and procedures and to inform them of quality-of-care concerns.· Maintain open communication with the Director concerning employee matters/needs, client assignment, workload distribution across the team, and seek consultation when needed.· Address interpersonal or team conflicts promptly and diplomatically to maintain a positive work environment.· Lead weekly staff meetings to discuss program updates, issues, policies, and procedures. Administration and Other Duties· Work collaboratively with all levels staff across programs.· Attend external program specific meetings and events to ensure that the program is in compliance and is kept up to date on trends related to client treatment and care and to represent the organization.· Provide back-up coverage for other supervisors as needed and as assigned to ensure that program requirements are met.· Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.And perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Certification, or Licensure· High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.· Registration or certification as substance use disorder counselor preferred or registration or licensure with California Board of Behavioral Sciences preferred.· Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.· Valid California Driver's License and access to registered and insured transportation preferred.Experience· At least two years of relevant experience.· At least five years of experience providing supervision.· Experience with efficient and effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.· Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency.Competencies· Behavioral Health Service Integration. Ability to implement and innovate behavioral health services to improve the continuum of care.· Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge. Deep understanding of programmatic and project contractual requirements, ensuring all deliverables are met. Strong understanding to detail to maintain policies, procedures, and legal compliance. · Conflict Resolution. Strong interpersonal skills to address and resolve conflicts within the team, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.· Crisis Management. Competence in managing crisis, including assessing risk, implementing safety plans, and providing immediate support or referring to appropriate crisis resources.· Cultural Competence. Ability to interface well with diverse populations, including individuals with a history of incarceration, substance abuse, or mental illness while withholding judgment.· Effective Communication. Skill in conveying information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, and fostering open and collaborative communication with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.· Health and Safety Oversight. Proficient in overseeing health and safety protocols within the program.· Leadership and Teamwork. Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff, set clear goals, and provide direction while fostering a positive work environment and building cohesive teams.· Operations and Facility Management. Competence in ensuring compliance with operational standards and safety regulations.· Program Management. Proficiency in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring that the program runs smoothly.· Project Management. Strong organizational and time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities, including administrative tasks.· Technology Proficiency. Proficiency with Microsoft office applications and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to use human capital management (HCM) such as Dayforce.· Bilingual preferred.</p>
