<p>Job Details</p> <p>Internal Medicine - Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)</p> <p>Specialty: Internal Medicine (Adult Primary Care)</p> <p>M-F 9A-5P - will vary with Saturday rotation</p> <p>Practice Overview</p> <p>The practice is a well-established, physician-led internal medicine group in Plainview and East Hills, NY, comprised of six experienced internists: Dr. Barricelli, Dr. Berland, Dr. Brountzas, Dr. Jane F. Serio, Dr. Guy, and Dr. Frasca.</p> <p>The group provides comprehensive adult primary care with a strong reputation for high-quality, patient-centered medicine and long-standing community relationships.</p> <p>Collectively, the practice manages a broad spectrum of adult medical conditions, with particular expertise in chronic disease management, preventive care, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular risk reduction.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to support Dr. Jane F. Serio exclusively within a busy, well-established internal medicine group practice. While the APP will be part of a larger six-physician group, this role is dedicated to working directly with Dr. Serio and her patient panel.</p> <p>This position is ideal for an APP who values continuity of care, collaborative physician partnership, and building long-term relationships with adult patients in a supportive, team-based environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients under physician collaboration </li><li>Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions </li><li>Manage chronic disease states including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular risk factors </li><li>Perform preventive care visits, annual wellness exams, and Medicare wellness visits </li><li>Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs </li><li>Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State regulations </li><li>Educate patients on disease management, lifestyle modification, and preventive health </li><li>Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR) </li><li>Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services as needed </li><li>Support quality initiatives and evidence-based care standards </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of New York (or eligible) </li><li>National board certification required </li><li>BLS/ACLS/DEA required </li><li>Minimum 1-2 years of experience in internal medicine, primary care, or adult medicine preferred (new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered) </li><li>Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills </li><li>Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a physician-led practice </li></ul> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>USD $69.54 - USD $93.00 /Yr.</p>
