<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Support Staff/Paraprofessional</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/11/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Parsons Elementary School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>25/26 School Year</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Gibraltar School District&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>TITLE:</p> <p>At Risk Aide - Category E.1 Parsons Elementary School</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Meets State of MI requirements for Title 1 Paraprofessional (one of the following required)</p> <p>At least 60 post-secondary credit hours,</p> <p>Associates degree, or</p> <p>Passing score on Basic Skills MTTC or ETS Parapro Assessment</p> <p>A passing score of at least 480 on the evidence-based reading and writing section of the SAT and 530 on the mathematics section in lieu of the Basic Skills Test or Professional Readiness Exam</p> <p>ETS Parapro Assessment</p> <p>Passing scores required:</p> <ul> <li>Reading for Information - 4; and </li><li>Applied Mathematics - 4; and </li><li>Writing - 3 (Business Writing was NOT approved) </li></ul> <p>Demonstrated interest in children and education.</p> <p>Evidence of emotional maturity and stability.</p> <p>Ability to encourage positive student behavior.</p> <p>Knowledgeable in behavior management, techniques and data collection.</p> <p>Such additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal</p> <p>JOB GOAL: Will work under the overall supervision of the building principal with direct supervision provided by general education and special education teachers to provide support to at-risk students.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the facilitator and classroom teachers.</p> <p>Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.</p> <p>Work with other professionals, such as speech therapist, social worker, occupational and physical therapists.</p> <p>Assist with maintenance of required records, administration of classroom assessment, and completion of classroom work.</p> <p>Other responsibilities assigned by principal.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Student Days only, 5 hours per day</p> <p>Position dependent on available at-risk funds</p> <p>No Health or Life Insurance Benefits with this position</p> <p>It is the policy of GIBRALTAR SCHOOL DISTRICT not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex or handicap.</p>
