The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating effectively with fellow coaches, players, parents, and administration. They will also develop and implement effective and appropriate practice and game plans. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to teach fundamental skills, a strong knowledge of team concepts and strategies, and a willingness to work towards the goals of the Ephrata Area School District's athletic department.</p> <p>Duties of the head coach include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Writing and organizing daily practice plans for both the Varsity and JV teams during the fall sports season </li><li>Collaborating with assistant coaches to develop game plans </li><li>Implementing a strength, conditioning, and off-season training program tailored to the needs of the Cross Country program. </li><li>Maintaining accurate inventories of uniforms, equipment, and supplies </li><li>Providing support and guidance to the youth programs </li><li>Evaluate and provide feedback to assistant coaches </li><li>Report scores to local media sources </li><li>Complete required professional development and trainings </li><li>Attend required PIAA and Lancaster Lebanon League meetings </li></ul> <p>Relevant experience required, salary based on previous experience. Must be available for practices and contests during the week and on weekends. Along with the completed application, interested candidates should send a letter of interest and a resume detailing experience.</p> <p>Applicants must possess the following clearances with results that have been obtained within the last 12 months: Act 34 PA Criminal Background Clearance, Act 114 - FBI Background Check; Act 252 - PA Child Abuse Certificate.
