<p>Job Description and Duties</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Specialized Technical Services Section Manager, the incumbent will provide advice and consultation to auditors working complex audit cases and to management and legal staff regarding the most complex and/or precedent setting tax issues. Consulting services include providing recommendations for matters concerning complex and sensitive audit issues, policies, procedures, and guidelines in areas with significant departmental consequences or that are precedent-setting in nature, where the potential for litigation is likely, or where multi-divisional leadership and departmental coordination is needed. The incumbent will review the most sensitive and complex income tax audits for corporate, pass-through entity, or individual taxpayers.
