This might be an opportunity for you! We are seeking an individual who will perform histology for immunology drug discovery programs. The successful candidate will work in a group providing research support in target validation, target distribution, animal model development, pharmacology, and exploratory safety studies. Being detailed oriented is critical to this role. Specific activities will include routine histology (e.g., tissue trimming, tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning of paraffin embedded and frozen tissues), routine and special histochemical staining and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Additional tasks include using computer-based laboratory tracking system (Sample Manager), Dream Path, and a willingness to get creative when working with novel tissues or challenging pathology endpoints. The candidate must independently schedule and prioritize workload to manage several tasks. If you are willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary research team in an exciting, friendly, fast-paced environment, please consider joining our team!</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education with typically 5 years of experience, or Master's Degree or equivalent education with typically two years of experience in Biology/Chemistry or related field preferred.</p> <p>Microsoft office skills</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Histotechnologist Certification (HTL)</p> <p>HT (ASCP) certification</p> <p>Skilled at tissue grossing embedding, FFPE and OCT sectioning required</p> <p>Experience with sectioning tissues for advanced molecular techniques including spatial transcriptomics platforms would be helpful</p> <p>Ideally 3-5 years of experience within a histology/ pathology laboratory</p> <p>Other Desirable Attributes:</p> <p>Well organized</p> <p>Attention to detail</p> <p>Adherence to established protocols and laboratory documentation requirements</p> <p>Ability to work and effectively communicate within a team environment</p> <p>Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously</p> <p>Delivery of high-quality, timely results</p> <p>Excellent oral and written communication skills</p> <p>Enthusiastic</p> <p>Independent, analytical, innovative thinker</p> <p>Proficiency with MS office-Excel, OneNote</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Applicable only to applicants</p>
