<p>Job#: 3032684</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Construction Manager</p> <p>12-Month Contract | Opportunity to Extend or Convert</p> <p>Location</p> <p>Open to candidates located in Milwaukee, Ohio, nearing states Candidates must be willing to travel to various city's Midwest and eastern region United States as needed.</p> <p>Travel Requirements</p> <p>This role requires regular travel ranging from 50% to 70% of the time (10-12 days per month) to project sites, typically for key milestones, site walks, or meetings with general contractors. Travel frequency varies by project phase and business needs.</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a junior- to mid-level Construction Manager / Owner's Representative to support commercial and industrial construction projects with a strong focus on pre-construction activities, permitting, invoicing, and internal stakeholder coordination.</p> <p>This role works closely with senior project leadership, general contractors, designers, and internal teams to ensure projects move smoothly from planning through execution. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder construction environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support construction projects from pre-construction through closeout</p> </li><li> <p>Focus heavily on early-phase project support, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Pre-construction planning and coordination</p> </li><li> <p>Permitting and AHJ coordination</p> </li><li> <p>Invoicing review and cost tracking</p> </li><li> <p>Internal stakeholder coordination and communication</p> </li><li> <p>Attend all meetings with general contractors and project partners</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with project documentation, schedules, budgets, and status reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, utilities, and internal teams</p> </li><li> <p>Support site visits, walkthroughs, and milestone inspections alongside project partners</p> </li><li> <p>Track action items and follow-ups from meetings and ensure timely resolution</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and local regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Escalate risks, issues, or delays to senior project leadership as appropriate</p> </li></ul> <p>Top Must-Have Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of Construction Management or Project Coordination experience </li><li>Experience supporting commercial or industrial construction projects </li><li>Exposure to pre-construction, permitting, and invoicing processes </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field </li><li>Strong organizational and follow-through skills </li><li>Clear communication skills and comfort working with multiple internal stakeholders and external contractors </li></ul> <p>Nice-to-Have Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience supporting an Owner's Representative or client-side construction team </li><li>Familiarity working with AHJs, permitting offices, or utility providers </li><li>Experience attending and supporting GC-led meetings and site walks </li><li>Exposure to multi-site or geographically distributed projects </li></ul> <p>Experience Level</p> <ul> <li>Junior- to early mid-level professional </li><li>3+ years of relevant construction or project coordination experience </li><li>Demonstrated ability to support multiple active projects and stakeholders simultaneously </li></ul> <p>Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
