Tenure Status Non-Tenure Track, Tenure Track, or Tenured Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>DVM degree or equivalent.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (AVDL), College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia, Athens, GA invites applications for a full-time Veterinary Clinical Pathologist with a keen interest in and enthusiasm for diagnostic pathology and training. This is a twelve-month faculty position and can be either clinical (non-tenure) or tenure track with appointment at the level of assistant, associate, or full professor in a fully accredited diagnostic laboratory and NAHLN member.</p> <p>The position will have a heavy emphasis on providing diagnostic cytology services to veterinarians submitting diagnostic specimens to the AVDL, training pathology residents, and instructing rotating senior veterinary students. Additional diagnostic service opportunities in the AVDL, teaching hospital, and flow cytometry services also are available, as well as additional teaching opportunities in the undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. There is an expectation to pursue scholarly activity with case material and develop a specific area of interest/expertise.
