This role involves conducting training needs assessments, designing and delivering a variety of learning materials, and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance. The specialist facilitates interactive sessions across multiple formats and provides individualized coaching to support knowledge retention and skill application. Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills, experience in curriculum design and coaching, and a passion for fostering a culture of experiential learning and continuous improvement. Proficiency with tools like SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, and LMS platforms is essential for success in this dynamic, fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Learning and Development Specialist is a key member of the MGB Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO) Quality, Learning & Development team, responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee performance and support organizational goals. This role is central to fostering a culture of respect for experiential learning, where continuous improvement and professional growth are championed through innovative and engaging learning experiences.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and align learning solutions with departmental and organizational objectives. </li><li>Design and develop a variety of training materials, including instructor-led courses, e-learning modules, job aids, and performance support tools. </li><li>Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with industry best practices. </li><li>Facilitate training sessions using diverse delivery methods such as classroom instruction, virtual learning, workshops, and on-the-job coaching. </li><li>Promote active learning through interactive activities, discussions, and real-world application exercises. </li><li>Provide individualized coaching and feedback to learners, supporting knowledge retention and skill application. </li><li>Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Healthcare and revenue cycle experience required</p> </li><li> <p>1-3 years of experience analyzing data to identify trends preferred</p> </li><li> <p>3-5 years of experience in designing curriculum for operational workflows, systems and soft skills required</p> </li><li> <p>1-3 years of coaching/one on one training required</p> </li><li> <p>1-3 years of experience in delivering training in a classroom environment preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Visio and Webex required</p> </li><li> <p>Experience providing feedback required</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training programs tailored to diverse learning styles and professional levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in instructional design tools and learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Attributes</p> <ul> <li> <p>Passion for adult learning and a commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and growth-oriented learning culture.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working within a healthcare system or revenue cycle operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and change management principles.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Details (if applicable)</p> <ul> <li>M-F 8 am-4:30 pm EST hours </li><li>Quiet, secure, stable, compliant work station required </li><li>Remote position, onsite attendance at least once per quarter in Somerville, MA. </li></ul> <p>Remote Type</p> <p>Remote</p> <p>Work Location</p> <p>399 Revolution Drive</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours</p> <p>40</p> <p>Employee Type</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>$62,400.00 - $90,750.40/Annual</p> <p>Grade</p> <p>6</p> <p>At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
