<p>General Summary</p> <p>Provides project support for Value Analysis Team (VAT) initiatives including trials, new products and outcomes tracking. Works independently and exercises independent judgment and discretion. Requires project management skills. Administers/coordinates programs, projects and/or processes as assigned, and may act as a liaison between executive leadership and Supply Chain Management project teams during report-outs. This position supports projects that improve the care and safety of patients and employees.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the oversight and management of assigned initiatives. Ensures that all project plans are developed and executed using methodology consistent with System performance improvement and Value Analysis methodology. </li><li>Monitors and maintains records of VAT initiatives including all product reviews, trials and evaluations. </li><li>Serves as a liaison and clinical resource between Hospital/System administration, departments and clinical staff to ensure cost effective utilization of products, services and processes including, but not limited to, surgical supplies, capital equipment, technology and process related activities. </li><li>Leads Value Analysis Monthly Team meetings. Participates or leads sub-groups of the VATs. </li><li>Oversees the acquisition and implementation of newly approved products to include communication to all involved departments and/or facilities </li><li>Will complete review of requested products which will include review of literature, search of federal databases, and search for any alerts and recalls. </li><li>Leads system trials of new products. . Collects and analyzes data from the trials. </li><li>Monitors patient outcomes for different initiatives when indicated. </li><li>Interacts with all appropriate system wide department managers to assist with data collection, analysis, implementation, monitoring and follow-up with assigned projects. </li><li>Maintains regular contact with all staff levels: clinical, administrative, professional and support. </li><li>Assists in managing substitutes for back ordered items, customer complaints or problems with products. </li><li>Promotes cooperation and communication among all team members. Knowledgeable regarding conflict resolution and effective communication.
