<p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Supports children on the bus as per their Individualized Education Plans (IEP's). </li><li>Supervises and redirects the behavior of children on the bus to ensure safety for the students. </li><li>Must pass a physical performance test bi-annually as per NYSED requirements. </li><li>Must attend a Pre-Service Class related to job responsibilities as mandated by NYSED. </li><li>Must attend an additional ten-hour basic course on special education requirements including behavior management, wheelchair accessibility, use of vests, etc. </li><li>Must attend two different (2) hour refresher classes yearly to keep up-to-date on procedures and requirements. </li><li>Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older to qualify. </li></ul> <p>LOCATION: Districtwide</p> <p>HOURS: Various Shifts (6:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. or 1:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.)</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>All costs associated with these employment requirements are the responsibility of the employee:</p> <ul> <li>Fingerprint clearance from the NY State Department of Education (NYSED) </li><li>Drug Screening </li><li>Physical Examination </li></ul> <p>Patchogue-Medford Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
