<p>Join Utah Valley University as an Admin Support for the Stronger Families Project (SFP) and play a meaningful role in supporting a mission-driven program that helps families build resilience and strengthen relationships. The Stronger Families Project is a community outreach course taught by UVU interns to promote family wellness. Your administrative and coordination expertise will help ensure its ongoing success. In this position, you will prepare routine correspondence, maintain organized records, and provide clear, accurate information to students, faculty, interns, community partners, and families. Your understanding of program and university policies will enable you to respond effectively to inquiries and direct individuals to the relevant resources.</p> <p>This role also supports essential program operations, including processing requisitions and purchase orders, as well as maintaining office equipment and supply inventories. The position offers flexible hours but requires attendance at key weekly meetings, including a 1-hour SFP administrative meeting, a Monday supervisory intern meeting from 4:00 to 5:15 pm, and a mid-week managing team coordination meeting. Program sites operate Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:45-8:15 pm, and as needed, you will attend one evening per week to support intern performance, class operations, and compliance with program policies. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on families in the community while developing your administrative skills within a supportive and purpose-driven environment.</p> <ul> <li>Performs various and confidential administrative support duties, including composing routine correspondence, meeting minutes, and obtaining factual information requiring knowledge of policies/procedures of both assigned and work-related areas. </li><li>Informs students, faculty, and the general public of available departmental and university services. Receives and answers inquiries regarding departmental information. </li><li>Coordinates the preparation of reports, publications, and newsletters. </li><li>Maintains inventory of office equipment and supplies, and performs other office duties as needed. </li><li>Establishes, updates, and maintains unit files, inventories, ordering, receiving, billing, distributing, monitoring, and reconciling expenditures. </li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree and one year of experience, OR any combination of education and experience related to the summary of duties totaling three years.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in family science or related field (social work, psychology, community public health, education, communications, etc.). </p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures, computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and databases.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision. </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions. </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to meet and deal with people of diverse backgrounds. </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently on a multi-task level, prioritize, and follow projects through to successful completion.</p> </li></ul>
