<p>05144 Nurse Tech/CNA-Medical/Surgical STRHS-Lawrenceburg Job Description</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Medical Surgical</p> <p>FLSA: Non-exempt</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.</p> <p>Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.</p> <p>Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.</p> <p>Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.</p> <p>Nonessential Functions</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.• Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.• Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.• Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.• Accepts all call schedule as directed.• Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.</p> <p>Organizational Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Compliance to the STRH - Lawrenceburg Standards of Performance is required.• Compliance to Dress Code Standards• Should this job description be filled by a PRN employee, they will be subject to the requirements of that position. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent- Preferred</p> <p>Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
