<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Boston, MA.</p> <p>Duties Include:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and support staff performing daily general ledger activities, including journal entries, cash receipt postings, and account reconciliations </li><li>Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts </li><li>Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and proper classification of transactions </li><li>Review and approve journal entries and uploads submitted by other departments </li><li>Perform monthly variance analysis and support financial reporting processes </li><li>Assist in the development and enforcement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of accounting standards and timely financial close </li><li>Work with financial systems teams to support accounting system updates, maintenance, and enhancements </li><li>Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for accounting staff </li><li>Support a collaborative and professional team environment, encouraging communication and teamwork </li><li>Participate in special projects and assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required </li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience; supervisory or team lead experience preferred </li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards </li><li>Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems </li></ul>
