<p>MNRK Music Group is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Nashville. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing assigned areas of accounting operations and ensuring accuracy, quality, and effectiveness in reporting for all aspects of MNRK's business.</p> <p>What You Will Be Doing:</p> <ul> <li>Monitoring and reviewing accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. </li><li>Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare journal entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. </li><li>Prepare monthly reconciliation of GL Accounts. </li><li>Assisting in annual audits to help ensure compliance. </li><li>Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status. </li><li>Identifying errors and potential issues and recommending ways to improve efficiency and accuracy of accounting procedures. </li><li>Work closely with label operations and Finance to provide meaningful insights back to the business. </li><li>Work directly with Accounting and Finance management on operational and reporting initiatives. </li><li>Special projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What Makes You Qualified:</p> <ul> <li>BS degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience. </li><li>A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an accounting role with increasing responsibility in accounting field. </li><li>Strong excel skills. </li><li>Track record of exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). </li><li>Strong ethical conduct and an ability to maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Strong financial aptitude and quantitative skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and to exercise initiative to define and resolve problems. </li><li>Familiarity with financial accounting statements. </li><li>Experience with general ledger function and the month-end/year-end close process. </li><li>Ability to multi-task and a team player. </li></ul> <p>What Would Be Music to Our Ears:</p> <ul> <li>CPA or pursuing CPA </li><li>Public Accounting experience </li><li>Experience with Oracle </li></ul> <p>This is a hybrid role that will require you to commute to our Nashville office a minimum of three days a week.</p> <p>MNRK Music Group is one of the largest independent music companies in the world, with recording, music publishing and management divisions operating in every major music market.
