The Security Officer - CICO plays a crucial role in safeguarding both personnel safety and facility security. This position is responsible for ingress to and egress at Vendor Sites. This involves inspecting and screening individuals entering and leaving Vendor secure areas. Pursuant to National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements, United States Citizenship is required to obtain the needed government clearance to perform the essential functions of this role.</p> <p>PAY $17.25 / HOUR</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Screening:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for screening, including providing wand metal detection screening on individuals for all items and personnel going into and out of a secured area </li><li>Making sure nothing goes in or out that is not authorized by the vendor </li></ul> <p>Alarm Response:</p> <ul> <li>Respond promptly to security alarms and investigate incidents </li><li>Identify and assess potential threats or breaches </li><li>Secure the premises and prevent unauthorized access until further instructions are given </li><li>Maintain detailed reports of alarm activations and actions taken </li></ul> <p>Escort Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provide safe escort services for personnel, vehicles, or valuable property </li><li>Ensure adherence to protocols during high-risk transfers or movements </li><li>Maintain situational awareness during escort operations to preempt threats </li></ul> <p>Site Inspections:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct regular patrols and inspections of assigned locations </li><li>Identify vulnerabilities or irregularities and report findings to supervisors </li><li>Verify the integrity of locks, fences, gates, and security systems </li></ul> <p>Incident Reporting:</p> <ul> <li>Record incidents accurately and submit comprehensive reports to the security manager </li><li>Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed </li></ul> <p>Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain clear and professional communication with control centers, clients, and team members </li><li>Use radios, phones, or other equipment to relay information effectively </li></ul> <p>Emergency Response:</p> <ul> <li>Act swiftly in emergencies, including fire, medical, or security-related incidents </li><li>Assist in evacuations or lockdowns as per the site's emergency response plan </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Must have an active Top-Secret Clearance or have a SECRET Clearance and be TS-eligible </li><li>Current and valid driver's license </li><li>Able to obtain and maintain an armed security guard license and firearm permits as state and local regulations require </li><li>Post hire, must be able to successfully complete all training and obtain required certifications, including CPR and First Aid/AED </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military security operations </li><li>Experience with metal detection screening devices </li><li>Ability to write detailed reports and speak clearly and effectively in English </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):</p> <ul> <li>Retired law enforcement or military </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance </li><li>401(k) plan, subject to eligibility requirements </li><li>Paid time off offered at an accrual rate of 1 hour per 25 hours worked on a weekly basis </li><li>Eight paid holidays (subject to eligibility) </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more! </li></ul> <p>Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
