SSMS is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and</p> <p>Developmental Disabilities and has been approved by the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Department of Disabilities and Aging (DDA) to provide services under the Medicaid waiver.</p> <p>The company provides supported living, day services, professional support services and other supports for persons with developmental disabilities. These types of supports are developed and provided in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP) requirements and designated specifically for persons with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness.</p> <p>SSMS is subject to requirements of DDA, the TennCare office of licensure and various other regulatory bodies.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>SSMS is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) while maintaining strict adherence to the BACB guidelines and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining procedural integrity, evaluating data collection reliability, and providing feedback to staff to ensure high-quality service delivery. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li>Procedural Integrity Checks: </li></ol> <p>o Conduct regular procedural integrity checks to ensure that BSPs are implemented accurately and consistently.</p> <p>o Monitor and assess the fidelity of intervention strategies in alignment with BACB guidelines.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Implementation of Procedures/ Programs: </li></ol> <p>o Provide on-going services and support to individuals referred for or currently receiving applied behavior analysis (ABA) services.</p> <p>o Carry out BSP protocols developed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA - Behavior Analyst), primarily aimed at addressing challenging behaviors and teaching replacement behavior skills.</p> <p>o Model correct implementation of BSP protocols for staff, including treatment procedures and the recording of behavioral data.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Data Collection and Analysis: </li></ol> <p>o Evaluate the reliability and accuracy of data collection by direct support professionals and caregivers.</p> <p>o Perform timely and precise data entry and graphing, ensuring that all data are up-to-date. This includes preparing graphs that are consistent with ABA standards and as directed by the supervising Behavior Analyst.</p> <p>o Observing supported person behavior to determine effectiveness of the behavior support/maintenance plan or crisis prevention plan and consulting with the Behavior Analyst when behavior support/maintenance or crisis prevention plan changes are needed.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Feedback and Support: </li></ol> <p>o Provide both positive and corrective feedback to staff responsible for the daily implementation of BSPs.</p> <p>o Collaborate with team members to reinforce best practices and address areas for improvement.</p> <p>o Always maintain effective work relationships inside and outside of SSMS by using professional and respectful communication at all times (including but not limited to interactions with the Circle of Support, state officials, MCO's, ISCs, supported persons and their families/conservators, Behavior Analyst, etc.).</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Supervision and Compliance: </li></ol> <p>o Receive and cooperate with supervision by a Behavior Analyst, which may include the Statewide Director of Behavior Services. The RBT will ensure open lines of communication with the supervising Behavior Analyst and the Statewide Director of Behavior Services.</p> <p>o Adhere to all BACB supervision guidelines, including participating in regular, documented supervision sessions with a qualified BCBA.</p> <p>o Ensure that supervision hours are accurately tracked and meet the BACB's requirements.</p> <p>o Implement feedback from supervision sessions in a timely manner to improve service delivery and professional practice.</p> <ol start="6"> <li>Staff Training: </li></ol> <p>o Assist in the ongoing training and development of staff to enhance their competency in implementing BSPs.</p> <p>o Ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about the most current practices in behavior analysis and intervention.</p> <p>o Train direct support staff or caregivers to carry out the approved BSP developed by the Behavior Analyst.</p> <p>o Observe staff and supported persons behavior for correct implementation of the BSP and complete retraining as indicated by inconsistencies or inaccuracies in performance that arise.</p> <ol start="7"> <li>Certification Maintenance: </li></ol> <p>o Maintain active RBT certification by meeting all BACB requirements, including continuing education.</p> <p>o Adhere strictly to BACB standards and the code of ethics in all professional activities.</p> <p>o Maintaining personal training as required by DDA and the MCO's</p> <ol start="8"> <li>Billing and Documentation: </li></ol> <p>o Accurately document all services provided and ensure that billing is completed in a timely manner.</p> <p>o Maintain organized and comprehensive records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.</p> <p>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Must be physically capable of and willing to assist during behavioral crises as requested by the Behavior Analyst.</p> </li><li> <p>Exhibits behaviors and best practices that are consistent with the vision and values of SSMS.</p> </li><li> <p>Practices safe work habits to eliminate and control potential safety and health hazards and to maintain a safe work environment. Attends all safety training as scheduled.</p> </li><li> <p>Work as part of the team to ensure that SSMS Quality Management principles</p> </li></ol> <p>(Plan, Measure, Assess. Improve) are practiced and achieved.</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Operates SSMS and personal transportation in a safe and healthy manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned by designated and/or</p> </li></ol> <p>authorized staff.</p> <p>This job description does not list all the duties of your job.
