<p>Must be able to work Monday through Friday 5 AM to 2:30 PM and Every Other Weekend.</p> <p>Location: Downtown, Charleston & Mt. Pleasant Charleston</p> <p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Linen Transporter is responsible for ensuring the linen carts are fully stocked. This person must have the ability to pull and push heavy loads and to count and record inventory of terry/linen. This person is responsible for picking up all soiled linen from the floors.</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to all Crothall Laundry Services policies as stated in the employee handbook. </li><li>Be in uniform and maintain a neat appearance every workday. </li><li>Adhere to Crothall Laundry Services attendance policy. </li><li>Clock in and out within 5 minutes of scheduled start and stop time. </li><li>Notify manager every day you are absent. </li><li>Keep company equipment clean and organized. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures. </li><li>Follow all universal precautions and procedures. </li><li>Report any and all problems/issues in regards to customer service and satisfaction. </li><li>Maintain a professional, courteous attitude. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Build clean, neat, organized carts to set standard par level. </li><li>Deliver clean linen to the different departments within the hospitals. </li><li>Pick up all soiled carts from all floors if working on the second shift. </li><li>Take and fill orders from hospital staff. </li><li>Clean linen room as necessary-sweep, mop, pick-up as necessary </li><li>Open new linen for processing </li><li>Align, stage carts as needed </li><li>Duties are not limited to the duties described on this job description </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and possibly holidays. Pass a background check. Be able to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull a wheeled cart of 650 lbs.</p>
