<p>The Director, Center for People in Transition Program will be responsible for the oversight of the Displaced Homemaker grant program. The Director will also be responsible for grant management activities, including development, budget management, reporting, and program activities. The Director will supervise case management staff on both campuses and support in the case management and referral services provided to clients on issues concerning the career and social service needs of displaced homemakers in both Gloucester and Cumberland Counties. The Director will also manage any additional grants or memorandums of understanding that may directly involve the program. </p> <p>This is a full-time, grant-funded position that requires dual-campus responsibilities.</p> <ul> <li>Develops and executes a strategic plan for the program, with assistance from the Advisory Board. </li><li>Collaborates with the Grants department on the preparation of annual grant applications to state and local agencies. </li><li>Completes quarterly, midyear, and end-of-year reports, meeting funding deadlines utilizing qualitative and quantitative analyses. </li><li>Develops, chairs, and maintains an Advisory Board. </li><li>Builds and maintains collaborations with the College, local agencies, businesses, and legislative offices. </li><li>Responsible for the training, supervision, and evaluation of staff members. </li><li>Supports case management staff on services provided directly to displaced homemakers </li><li>Develops and manages program budgets. </li><li>Participates in speaking engagements, meetings, events, and other activities for the College, funding agencies, social service organizations, businesses, state, and legislative offices. </li><li>Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current legislation, available community resources, and relevant local contacts related to services for displaced homemakers </li><li>Engages with campus stakeholders and collaborates with program representatives to maintain up-to-date knowledge of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and credit-bearing programs, ensuring accurate and effective client referrals. </li><li>Serves on college committees, as well as agency boards, associated with services for displaced homemakers. </li><li>Schedules and evaluates career and life skills workshops that address the needs of displaced homemakers. </li><li>Collaborates with Behavioral Services department to streamline support services for displaced homemakers who are also RCSJ students </li><li>Performs other duties, as assigned. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or another Human Services-related field required. Master's Degree preferred. </li><li>3-5 years' experience counseling individuals in need of services, particularly displaced homemakers required. </li><li>Experience working with unemployed/underemployed population </li><li>Leadership and supervisory experience preferred. </li><li>Experience with budget development, monitoring, and reporting required </li><li>Experience conducting intake and client case management </li><li>Experience planning and facilitating workshops </li><li>Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access required. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule with varied hours to meet department and College needs </li><li>Ability to travel between Gloucester and Cumberland Campuses and to state meetings, utilizing personal vehicle for travel </li><li>Possess the ability to work well and communicate effectively with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, and colleagues and community partners </li><li>Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff and a commitment to a student-centered environment </li></ul> <p>If certain conditions exist, this position requires you to have access to personal technological equipment and capabilities to perform your duties.</p> <p>COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for all positions at Rowan College of South Jersey.
