<p>Passaic County Community College is seeking a part-time Dual Enrollment Advisor, responsible for supporting dual enrollment students as assigned by the Director of Early College and Dual Enrollment.</p> <p>The is a part-time, administrative position.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Advise students, families, and school personnel on all aspects of the dual enrollment and early college programs </li><li>Have familiarity with college programs, policies and procedures including the application process, placement and registration </li><li>Assist students with course planning and scheduling. </li><li>Meet with students regularly throughout the semester </li><li>Guide students in achieving academic, career, and personal goals </li><li>Accurately report and document student interactions and program activities to ensure compliance with PCCC regulations as well as the partner high school. </li><li>Provide onboarding and support for Dual Enrollment students </li><li>Provide outreach to students using email, phone, video, or in-person meetings. </li><li>Refer students to college support services based on individual needs. </li><li>Work with the academic advising staff to promote guidelines and information on academic programs and make appropriate referrals to academic advisors. </li><li>Other duties and special projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required </li><li>Higher education experience preferred </li><li>Excellent: oral/written/problem solving, communication, organizational, time-management and analytical skills </li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team </li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the college community </li><li>Ability to understand and apply college policies </li><li>Maintain essential and confidential records </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds </li><li>Computer literacy with Microsoft Office required </li><li>Bilingual or multilingual preferred </li></ul> <p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p> <p>Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $20-$22.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>New Jersey Sick Leave: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.) </li><li>Employee Assistance Program provides free, confidential, limited counseling services, work-life assistance, legal and financial guidance. </li><li>Commuter Benefits: Free parking access is provided on site.
