<p>Supervision Exercised:</p> <p>Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Nurse IV mixing specialists, Patient Assistance Coordinators, Drug Purchasing staff, Delivery Drivers.</p> <p>General Summary:</p> <p>Oversee all operations of the Oncology Pharmacy department</p> <p>Dispense medication prescribed by licensed health care providers</p> <p>Works under the supervision of the Executive Director, Regional Oncology Services</p> <p>Managing Partner, Oncology Services</p> <p>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Example of Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Oversight of all oral pharmacy operations, including contracting, licensing, dispensing, and inventory management </li><li>Oversight of Drug Repository program </li><li>Direct oversight of infusion room operations at the Maumee location </li><li>Indirect oversight of infusion room operations at the ancillary sites </li><li>IV therapy dispensing </li><li>Work with the Oncology department to develop and advise on drug therapy protocol through participation in Quality Committee and P&T Committee activities </li><li>Educate patients about his/her prescriptions </li><li>Maintain quality control and adherence to all regulation requirements, licensing and dispensing laws </li><li>Oversee the security of the pharmacy and its inventory </li><li>Oversight of patient assistance staff for oral therapies </li><li>Oversight of 340B pharmacy operations </li><li>Development and maintenance of oral pharmacy and infusion policies and procedures </li><li>Oversee the development and maintenance of the infusion room master formulas </li><li>Oversight of drug purchasing and inventory management </li><li>Oral/self-administered medication prior authorizations and appeals </li><li>Consultation with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other staff for medication inquiries </li><li>Balance cash drawer </li><li>Responsible for the integration of new service integration throughout the TTC Cancer Centers </li><li>Works to engage new partners and grow the oncology services within the network of cancer centers </li><li>Assists with developing new partners for service line growth </li><li>Maintenance of TDDD license renewals for practice locations </li><li>Partner with and provide support, as needed, to the Clinical Research Pharmacist - Director of Investigational Drug Services for dispensing and accountability of investigational drugs </li></ul> <p>Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Assist customers at the cash register </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain Ohio pharmacist license. </li><li>Adheres to, and ensures department's compliance with, the clinic's policies and procedures. </li><li>Maintains awareness of the department's budget at all times and works within the budgetary figures. </li><li>Interprets and reviews financials and offers explanation when expenses or liabilities are excessive. </li><li>Establishes departmental goals and completes goals within established time frame. </li><li>Effectively recruits, retains, disciplines and trains staff. </li><li>Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. </li></ul> <p>Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <p>Previous oncology pharmacy experience preferred.</p> <p>Doctor of Pharmacy degree.</p>
