<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Finance Manager plays a critical role in the financial operations of the Krause Family Office (KFO), leading accounting and treasury functions while delivering insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions. This position is responsible for forecasting, reporting, cash flow modeling, tax support, and ensuring the highest standards of financial controls and data integrity.</p> <p>Serving as a trusted partner, the Finance Manager manages a wide array of responsibilities, from coordinating bank transfers and payments to developing budgets and preparing financial information for tax planning. They will also help educate and support the Next Generation of family members in personal finance and investment strategies, while maintaining strong relationships with family members, advisors, and financial institutions. As part of a small and collaborative team, this individual will engage across a variety of Family Office activities.</p> <p>This role requires a high level of discretion, as the Finance Manager will work with highly confidential financial and personal information related to domestic and international assets, including trusts, investments, philanthropic initiatives, and real estate holdings across the family enterprise.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Financial and Cash Management</p> <ul> <li>Lead and implement robust financial governance, controls, and policies. </li><li>Support KFO's financial strategy and long-term financial vision. </li><li>Benchmark and adopt best practices from other family offices. </li><li>Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support cash flow forecasting, expense planning, and scenario analysis. </li><li>Provide financial support for investments, trusts, and philanthropic entities. </li><li>Manage banking relationships, debt positions, and treasury activities. </li><li>Operate and oversee intra-family financial systems as needed, including a private family bank. </li><li>Safeguard Next-Generation assets and ensure secure and accurate financial record-keeping. </li></ul> <p>Next-Generation Engagement & Support</p> <ul> <li>Build trusted relationships with Co-Principals, Next-Generation members, and extended family. </li><li>Develop and deliver financial education content for newsletters and family meetings. </li><li>Coordinate with private banks on custom financial statements, plans, and reporting. </li><li>Provide investment insights and decision-making guidance for personal, philanthropic, and trust portfolios. </li><li>Prepare and present financial reports for family wealth and governance discussions. </li></ul> <p>Compliance, Risk Management & Special Projects</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with legal, investment, and real estate teams to validate and analyze financial data. </li><li>Interface with external partners including tax advisors, wealth managers, and private banks. </li><li>Monitor financial risk exposure and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. </li><li>Support ad hoc projects and initiatives at the direction of the Head of Family Office. </li><li>Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from family members and internal teams. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications & Experience</p> <ul> <li>5-8 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a family office, family-owned business, or private wealth environment. </li><li>Expertise in financial reporting, accounting, and portfolio management. </li><li>Familiarity with family office operations, including financial education, governance, philanthropy, budgeting, and insurance. </li><li>Experience with family office software platforms and tools. </li><li>Knowledge of trust accounting, personal finance, and investment principles preferred. </li><li>Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams and external advisors. </li><li>Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Competencies</p> <ul> <li>High level of discretion, data security awareness, and process discipline. </li><li>Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a solutions-oriented mindset. </li><li>Excellent relationship-building skills with family members and professional advisors. </li><li>Critical thinker capable of solving complex financial challenges. </li><li>Strong client service acumen with experience advising high-net-worth individuals. </li><li>Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. </li><li>Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software tools. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Duties and responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
