The sonographer is competent in the production & analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis & treatment. In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion & judgement in the performance of sonographic services.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of accredited school of sonography </li></ul> <p>Certifications and Licenses Required:</p> <ul> <li>Certified by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Registry eligible </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>FT </li><li>Days / nights / weekends </li><li>Sat and Sunday 7PM-7AM and Tues and Wed 8a-4p </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Prepares & sends specimens to labs in the absence of the secretary. </li><li>Prepares exam rooms before patient enters & cleans room following patient's exit. </li><li>Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures by assisting them onto the table & instructing them in the procedure that is being performed. </li><li>Selects & records appropriate images for the permanent </li><li>The sonographer is competent in the production & analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis & treatment. </li><li>In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion & judgement in the performance of sonographic services. </li></ul> <p>RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
