This role reports to the Category Manager for Pantry & Snacks.</p> <p>Responsibilities include promotional planning, eCommerce merchandising execution, and day-to-day vendor management for assigned categories. The ideal candidate has experience in grocery or CPG merchandising, including product sourcing and selection, eCommerce selling strategies, and supply chain fundamentals, and is excited to join a team of passionate food experts at FreshDirect.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support execution of pricing and promotional plans for assigned categories.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with the Pricing and Site Merchandising teams to drive awareness, trial, and repeat purchases through effective promotional strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the Category Manager for Pantry & Snacks by conducting category and assortment reviews, identifying gaps, analyzing performance, and preparing insights and recommendations.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate potential sales impact of new item launches and discontinuations to inform category resets.</p> </li><li> <p>Own day-to-day category execution, including new item set-up, price changes, and item discontinuations.</p> </li><li> <p>Own execution of seasonal assortments (e.g. Easter, Valentine's Day, and Christmas), supporting opportunity identification, item selection, accurate set-up and pricing, and post-season performance analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations to anticipate and address short- and long-term challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure accuracy and validation of vendor-submitted deals.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with site merchandising, cost negotiations, promotional planning, and product development initiatives.</p> </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li> <p>2-5 years of experience in grocery retail, eCommerce, or a related category management/merchandising role.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and presentation abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.</p> </li><li> <p>Some project management experience with the ability to manage mid-sized initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.</p> </li><li> <p>High level of enthusiasm, initiative, and solution-oriented mindset.</p> </li><li> <p>Nimble learner who adapts quickly and embraces continuous improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>A true passion for food and FreshDirect's mission is to deliver the best to our customers.</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary: $72,000-$85,000</p> <p>Total Rewards & Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits - we take care of our people so they can do their best work.</p> </li><li> <p>Time Off: PTO, Safe & Sick Time, and Paid Holidays.</p> </li><li> <p>Health Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, and Voluntary Disability coverage.</p> </li><li> <p>Financial Benefits: 401(k) with employer match and Life Insurance.</p> </li><li> <p>Location: Our state-of-the-art Bronx campus features an on-site gym, cafeteria, and employee market.
