<p>Location: South Bend, Indiana</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Over the Road Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight from the Midwest to the Northeast, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service.</p> <p>Essential job duties include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Drives semi-tractor based on the over-the-road schedule determined by internal and external customer requirements (requires layovers). Operates a semi-tractor promptly, safely and efficiently at all times. </li><li>Completes daily hours of service (HOS) via electronic logging devise (ELD) as well as DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections based on the FMCSA DOT requirements. </li><li>Frequently checks the load for proper refrigeration and securement of product. </li><li>Performs scale audits when loaded to ensure compliance with weight regulations. </li><li>Documents bill of lading (BOLs), fuel tickets, and customer delivery tickets upon completion of delivery based on internal and external customer requirements. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Must have Class A Commercial Drivers License. </li><li>2 years operating a commercial motor vehicle - DOT requirement. </li><li>Excellent driving record for preceding 3 years. </li><li>Good communications skills. </li></ul> <p>Schedule Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Friday, home multiple times a week. </li></ul> <p>Special Note:</p> <ul> <li>Military veterans and their spouses are encouraged to apply. </li></ul>
