<p>Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide management with data, in graphic and narrative form, necessary to make qualitative decisions about equipment, test bench, SE, material condition, readiness, utilization, maintenance workload, or failure trends. </li><li>Review data products for accuracy, completeness, and content. </li><li>Conduct and coordinate MDS/NALCOMIS/OOMA training of maintenance department personnel in all facets of documentation, and in the content and use of available data products. </li><li>Corresponds with the SSCA to resolve maintenance operating system problems, assist in trouble shooting technical and software issues. </li><li>Perform and submit Software Maintenance Tracking System (SMTS) for errors or corrections to OOMA and NALCOMIS operating systems. </li><li>Assign, review and maintain NALCOMIS SMQ's, and provide required reports to management. </li><li>Maintain MDS/NALCOMIS report files for the department per CNAF 4790.2 Series. </li><li>Ensure an adequate supply of source documentation is on hand to support the MDS and NALCOMIS during system downtime. </li><li>Ensure local data is reported up-line to the top-tier and central repository (DECKPLATE). </li><li>Keep informed of current efforts and issues with the MDS used by the activity by referencing the SSCA customer support site (https://sailor.nmci.navy.mil). </li><li>Initiate trouble calls with SSCA and JDRS. Trouble calls can be submitted via the SSCA web site. </li><li>Review NALCOMIS reports to identify trends. </li><li>Develop and run ADHOCs for trend analysis. </li><li>Use the MDS/NALCOMIS to assist in identifying possible deficiencies in technical training or documentation procedures. </li><li>Monitor the assignment of the third position of work center codes. </li><li>Collect, maintain, and distribute in narrative, tabular, chart, or graph form the data required to monitor, plan, schedule, and control the maintenance effort. </li><li>Develop charts, graphs, and displays for presentation. </li><li>Assist supervisory personnel in determining the specific goals for new types of data reports required for managing the maintenance effort. </li><li>Identify and apply analytical techniques to areas of material deficiencies, high man-hour consumption, or other pertinent trends. </li><li>Compiles Monthly Maintenance Plan inputs and submit to management for review/approval. </li><li>Provides technical assistance, guidance and instruction as required. </li><li>Know location of safety data sheet (SDS) and applicable safety precautions. </li><li>May be required to perform scheduled inventories. </li><li>Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards. </li><li>Other projects and initiatives as assigned as well as other reasonably related duties when directed. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring uncomfortable positions. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed fifty (50) pounds.</p> <p>Working Environment:</p> <p>The diversity of working conditions may range from a standard climate-controlled environment where there is no physical discomfort, to a non-climate-controlled environment, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.</p> <p>Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of Naval Aviation NALCOMIS System Analyst Refresher Course (Course C-555-0055). </li><li>Must have a valid State Driver's License. </li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC Card. </li><li>Certifications/Licensing as required by the Program Training and Certification Manual. </li><li>Certifications/Licensing as required by the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series. </li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance within 12 months of hire. </li><li>Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required. </li><li>The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview. </li><li>Some travel may be required. </li></ul>
