<p>NOTICE OF VACANCY School Custodian 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm)</p> <p>Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School is seeking a School custodian for the third shift.</p> <p>Hours are 3:00pm- 11:00PM (M-F) on school days.</p> <p>DUTIES (not limited to): Dusting, sweeping, trash removal, washing of furniture, walls, floors, and windows, general cleaning, heavy summer cleaning, furniture moving, stripping and refinishing of tile floors, carpet cleaning, changing lightbulbs. Operates a variety of industrial cleaning equipment using proper mixtures of cleaning solutions, detergents, solvents and floor products. Requisitions and monitors supplies and equipment, maintains inventory records. Arranges and clears tables and equipment for meetings, social functions, assists with graduation ceremonies and related school and town activities on an as needed basis. Interacts and assists with facilities on an as needed basis. Performs equipment and building repairs, preventative maintenance functions, security and other related duties as assigned, on an as needed basis. Performs grounds keeping duties of mowing, weeding, trimming, removing litter and assisting the groundskeeper with sports fields, on an as needed basis Considered "Essential Personnel, assists with facility breakdowns, emergencies and natural disasters/storm cleanup. This includes snow and ice removal. It is understood that in order to ensure continuity of school operation and public safety, reporting for snow/ice removal efforts is mandatory both on and off schedule unless otherwise directed by Facilities Manager. Oversees and maintains facility security in accordance with school policy. Informs supervisor on matters that need attention or any related situations encountered during the course of the work period. Other job related assignments may be required on an as needed basis.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of High School Diploma Strong Work Ethic Ability to work independently and with diverse groups Understanding of custodial equipment, cleaning techniques, solutions, and solvents appropriate for public school facilities Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform minor building and equipment repairs Basic reading comprehension skills and ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions Knowledge of basic mathematical operations Demonstrated ability to use computer programs particularly relating to email and electronic work orders</p> <p>Compensation: $24.73 - $26.55 (hourly)</p>
