<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with general oversight of the Strength and Conditioning Program for the university's 24 NCAA Division I sports. Team assignments based on experience and facility scheduling.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develops strength and conditioning programs for male and female student-athletes with review from the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. </li><li>Maintain knowledge of best practices to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of student-athletes. </li><li>Supervises and coordinates strength and conditioning programs for men's and women's sports as required. </li><li>Performs strength testing and evaluation as assigned. </li><li>Implementation and reporting of sports science technology and software. </li><li>Oversees strength and conditioning programs which elicit safe and correct execution of exercise technique. </li><li>Effectively communicates with athletic trainers and coaches </li><li>Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as required. </li><li>Responsible for adhering to all department and University policies and procedures and the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the NCAA. </li><li>Responsible for adhering to all Department and University continuing education initiatives and required certifications and trainings. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field </li><li>Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience </li><li>Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) or Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) </li><li>CPR/AED Certification </li><li>Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Masters Degree </li><li>3+ Years of relevant work experience </li></ul> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>$45,000 to $47,000/year</p> <p>(Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications).</p> <p>Employee Benefits:</p> <p>This full-time, exempt position includes full benefits and vacation, holiday, and sick leave.
