<p>Description:</p> <p>Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.</p> <p>Maintains files and office equipment.</p> <p>Orders and stocks supplies.</p> <p>Maintains a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the clinic. Schedules, receives and directs patient and visitors to the appropriate areas or clinic personnel.</p> <p>Responds to billing calls, helping the patient as accurately and completely as possible.</p> <p>Answers switchboard calls to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls.</p> <p>Ensures superbills are filled out and ready before the day begins or as efficiently as possible</p> <p>Makes copies of the day's schedule, posts it, and updates it throughout the day as needed.</p> <p>Collects information from patients, enters patient information into electronic medical record, prepares new file folder. Researches medical records and financial records to determine if patient has been to the office before.</p> <p>Captures charges utilizing chart document using CPT, ICD-10 and HSCPS resources. Follows best practices as outlined in the Revenue Cycle Guidelines published by the HSC.</p> <p>Address and correct any claim errors identified/assigned by CBO billing staff.</p> <p>Performs housekeeping duties of assigned area by routine and periodic cleaning. Maintains order and cleanliness through the clinic.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent Required or may be substituted by three years of directly related experience.</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <p>Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, neurology and medical terminology Preferred.</p> <p>Significant working knowledge of computers, telephones, copier and fax machines Required</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.</p> <p>Minimum Work Experience</p> <p>Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred.</p>
