<p>Electrical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to engage in project-based work focused on efficiency and refrigerant upgrades. The role involves researching and sourcing vendors for components such as wire harnesses, connectors, relays, switches, contactors, circuit breakers, and terminals. You will utilize your expertise to pull up Creo Electrical drawings using Windchill for accessing schematics and layouts of panels, and sizing wires and voltages. You will also support sustaining products by improving quality, reducing costs, managing component obsolescence, and conducting failure analysis.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Research and source vendors for wire harnesses, connectors, relays, switches, contactors, circuit breakers, terminals, etc. </li><li>Use Creo Electrical drawings via Windchill to access schematics and panel layouts. </li><li>Size wires and voltages based on your electrical experience. </li><li>Support sustaining products, including quality improvements, cost reductions, component obsolescence, and failure analysis. </li><li>Evaluate and approve components to ensure they meet availability, performance, and cost requirements. </li><li>Determine root cause and corrective actions for failures. </li><li>Troubleshoot issues on the production floor related to electrical components, identifying whether the problem is a design issue, supplier quality issue, or production issue. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechatronics, or Engineering Technology, or strong experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician. </li><li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and connection prints. </li><li>Understanding of UL 508 and UL 1995 standards is a plus. </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and determine root cause. </li><li>Excellent communication skills for interfacing with team members across different skill levels. </li><li>Experience with wire harness and electrical components. </li><li>Knowledge of automation and electrical engineering principles. </li><li>Relevant experience or co-op or internship experience. </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $66000.00 - $77000.00/yr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
