Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good.</p> <p>What Benefits can you Look Forward to?</p> <ul> <li>Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day </li><li>2:1 Match on retirement savings </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities*</p> <ul> <li>Assist the surgical team during operating procedures by passing instruments, sponges and sutures to surgeons and surgical assistants. </li><li>Select and layout instruments for operating procedures. </li><li>Prepare sterile supplies for operating procedures. </li><li>Prepare surgical trays for operating procedures. </li><li>Assist nursing staff in selecting and preparing operative supplies and equipment. </li><li>Assist in the instruction of nursing personnel rotating through service. </li><li>Provide continuous coverage for all surgical procedures. </li><li>Participate in in-service training programs. </li><li>Process patient care orders using the electronic ordering system may be required in certain areas. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from high school or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Completion of an accredited or military Surgical Technologist program. </li><li>Two years' experience as a Surgical Technologist. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>This position requires moderate standing/walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring of patients. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Certification from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>This is a full-time (40 hr/wk) Day/Night rotator position.</p> <p>Work Locations</p> <p>Ann Arbor, MI</p> <p>Modes of Work</p> <p>Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
