<p>Job location: Billerica, MA- Mulberry House Wednesday - Saturday</p> <p>Mission: The mission of The Guild for Human Services is to educate, encourage and empower individuals with intellectual disabilities so they may achieve their full potential to lead high-quality lives and participate meaningfully in the community.</p> <p>At The Guild you can join a workforce of creative, dedicated, and passionate employees working every day to enhance the lives of youth and adults with intellectual disabilities and other challenges.</p> <p>Primary Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence. </li><li>Act as Shift Supervisor; directly supervise all staff in the assigned residence while on shift </li><li>Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care. </li><li>Monitor staff performance, assist in yearly evaluation process. </li><li>Ensure employees adhere to all policies/requirements of The Guild for Human Services. </li><li>Ensure all staff implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans </li><li>Attend training as required. </li><li>Assist nursing in taking individuals to Doctors' appointments. </li><li>Monitor all individuals' medications and coordinate with nursing if orders are needed. </li><li>Monitor and ensure that all individuals receive their prescribed medication, and that the medication administration record has been completed correctly each day. </li><li>Administer and record students' medications as directed during training. </li><li>Ensure all residential documentation including logs and Incident/Accident (IA) reports are completed. </li><li>Plan and implement community activities for students in the residence. </li><li>Monitor individual and house expenditures. </li><li>Develop and implement residential meal preparation including menu development, grocery shopping and cooking that is inclusive of all student who live in the home. </li><li>Attend individual's team meetings as requested. </li><li>Manage the day to day functions of the residence including crisis interventions, on-call notifications, on-shift parent/guardian communication, and individuals programming. </li><li>Ensure the implementation of all individualized programming in accordance with each IEP and daily activity schedule. </li><li>Ensure the accurate and timely collection and summation of individuals' and house data. </li><li>Implement and record fire drills to ensure the health and safety of the individuals who live in the home. </li><li>Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the home and vehicles. </li><li>Ensure the implementation of all Guild Youth Residential Services policies and procedures. </li><li>Associate's degree preferred </li><li>At least two years of experience in a direct-care facility, preferably in a residential setting with a similar population; education may be substituted for one year of experience </li><li>Ability to demonstrate supervisory and administrative skills </li><li>Undergo background record check process </li><li>MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification or the ability to obtain MAP certification within first 90 days of employment </li></ul>
