<p>Overview</p> <p>As a member of the Menzies Aviation Fuel Farm Operating Team, you will be responsible for sampling</p> <p>and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities,</p> <p>fuel systems and fueling vehicles. Other responsibilities include receiving and dispatching jet fuel,</p> <p>gasoline, diesel fuel, av gas and glycol via pipelines and fuel trucks.</p> <p>Role Purpose</p> <p>The role of the Fuel Farm Operator is to be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and perform inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles. Other responsibilities include receiving and dispatching jet fuel via pipelines and fuel trucks. Ensure through definitive methods that product meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to an efficient operation, while projecting a professional image for Menzies Aviation and SFO</p> <p>Location: San Francisco, California | SFO</p> <p>Pay: $36.16/Hr.</p> <p>Work type: Full Time | on-site</p> <p>What you will be doing:</p> <ul> <li>Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems </li><li>Make required daily, weekly and monthly petroleum product log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance </li><li>Responsible for preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles </li><li>Perform routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards </li><li>Complies with A4A specifications on fuel quality </li><li>Transfer products and monitor storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination </li><li>Understand and remedy abnormal fuel system alarm conditions and work in coordination with both upstream shippers and airside hydrant system operations </li><li>Calculate and manage time inherent to storage tanks before reaching full capacity and to avoid incidental automated valves/line shut down </li><li>Manage tank storage as demand presents for receipts and dispense and in coordination with fuel flow rate </li><li>Understand and work in compliance with environmental regulations, including storm water handling and discharge procedures </li><li>Responsible for oil-water separator operations, Off Spec Fuel handling and storage and loading into tanker trucks </li><li>Must be able to clean up and keep the Fuel Farm looking presentable at all times </li><li>Must be able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision </li><li>Conduct all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures </li><li>Properly manage hazardous materials and hazardous waste, including jet fuel and jet fuel contaminated debris and respond to emergencies appropriately </li><li>Conduct filter changes and manage the resulting contaminated filters appropriately </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance:</p> <p>You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
