We are currently seeking a skilled Plumber to join our campus facilities team.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems across a college campus. This includes water supply systems, drainage systems, fixtures, and related mechanical components. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial or institutional plumbing, safety-focused, and capable of responding quickly to maintenance and emergency service needs.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, valves, and related equipment </li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot leaks, clogs, pressure issues, and system failures </li><li>Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to ensure safe and efficient operation </li><li>Repair or replace toilets, sinks, faucets, water heaters, pumps, and sewer lines </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance on campus plumbing infrastructure </li><li>Respond to emergency plumbing calls, including after-hours and on-call situations </li><li>Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, OSHA regulations, and campus safety standards </li><li>Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service logs </li><li>Coordinate with other maintenance trades and contractors on campus projects </li><li>Support renovations, upgrades, and new construction projects as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required </li><li>Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred (based on state/local requirements) </li><li>3+ years of commercial, institutional, or industrial plumbing experience </li><li>Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and repair techniques </li><li>Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals </li><li>Experience with troubleshooting complex plumbing systems in large facilities </li><li>Strong problem-solving and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a facilities team </li><li>Valid driver's license may be required depending on campus needs </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods </li><li>Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds </li><li>Work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces, utility tunnels, and mechanical rooms </li><li>Exposure to wet conditions, varying temperatures, and occasional unpleasant environments </li><li>Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic plumbing equipment safely </li><li>Must be able to respond quickly to emergency repair situations </li></ul> <p>Who We Are:</p> <p>Lincoln University is a historically Black university located in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, USA.
