<p>Job Title Graduate Assistant for Sorority and Fraternity Life - Summer Orientation Intern Special Instructions to Applicants Posting Number 20161601STD Job Description</p> <p>The graduate summer intern will support the professional staff in providing oversight to Ohio University's governing councils: Panhellenic, IFC, NPHC, & MGC summer recruitment efforts during Bobcat Student Orientation. Specific responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the supervision of student leaders working/volunteering with recruitment during Bobcat student orientation: during the day and evening activities. These include staffing our Resource Fair Table and the evening activities. </li><li>Assist in the "Getting Involved" information workshop during day one's of orientation sessions. </li><li>Serve as the primary contact and set up person for Bobcat Student Orientation Evening Activities. </li><li>Ensure that the SFL Resource Fair table is stocked with recruitment information needed for every session. </li><li>Fulfill other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be a graduate student enrolled as a first- or second-year student at an accredited higher education program in higher education and student affairs or related field. </li><li>Experience recruiting new students and coaching recruitment guides on appropriate talking points for students and parents. </li><li>Be responsible in attending all required BSO sessions and timely. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Member of a social fraternity or sorority in one of the national trade associations: NIC, NPC, NPHC, NALFO, NMGC or NAPA (preferred but not required)</p> <p>Department VP For Student Affairs Pay Rate</p> <p>$2,500 20 hrs a week from June 1 - July 12, 2025, plus housing and a meal plan.</p> <p>Posting Open Date Posting End Date 04/04/2025 Job Category Student Hourly Planning Unit Vice President for Student Affairs Work Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Graduate Assistants are expected to work a total of 120 hours over the course of the six-week internship time frame.
