<p>Title: Residential Appraiser</p> <p>Job Location: Alameda County, CA</p> <p>Hiring salary range: $73,500.00 - $103,800.00 annual</p> <p>Fremont Bank founded in 1964, is one of the oldest independently owned banks in the Bay Area and is one of the top-rated mid-tier banks in the nation. Voted a Top Workplace for 2025 and for the past fifteen consecutive years, Fremont Bank has an immediate opening for a Residential Appraiser in Alameda County, CA.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Residential Appraiser is responsible for determining the market value of residential properties. The candidate will be expected to inspect one to four family residential properties and complete USPAP compliant residential appraisals at any transaction amount for the Bank. They should be a market expert in their geographical area of coverage and skilled at utilizing industry recognized appraisal tools and techniques on a daily basis.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Skilled at analyzing market data and valuing all types of one to four family properties at any transaction amount utilizing various valuation techniques and methodologies for both field and desk appraisal assignments</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for meeting production goals with the highest level of customer service and report quality</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure Appraisals meet Bank requirements, USPAP and Interagency and GSE Guidelines and Regulatory Standards</p> </li><li> <p>Although the position is expected to work independently with limited supervision, as a bank employee the residential appraiser will work closely with other appraisers, dept analysts and management team to support broader real estate projects and initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>May be asked to supervise others or complete appraisal reviews of other appraisers' work</p> </li><li> <p>Additional duties as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current California Certified Residential or Certified General Appraisal License</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 5 years of residential appraisal experience</p> </li><li> <p>Thorough knowledge of real estate appraisal principles and practice, real estate appraisal regulations, Interagency and GSE guidelines, and USPAP</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of banking requirements and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working for a financial institution is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess excellent organizational, communication, writing and customer service skills and a professional attitude in all environments</p> </li><li> <p>Proven strong analytical and decision-making skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently with limited supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Must have reliable transportation for conducting fieldwork</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience</p> </li><li> <p>Basic computer skills with industry recognized software including Multiple Listing Service, appraisal tracking systems and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)</p> </li><li> <p>MUST reside in Alameda County, California.</p> </li></ul>
