<p>Reports To: Sr. Production Manager</p> <p>Location: Wheeling</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>Job Code: TBD</p> <p>Pay Grade: TBD</p> <p>Starting Salary: $73,000</p> <p>Pay Frequency: Biweekly</p> <p>The Training Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the Plant's training program and initiatives. This position will assist in the planning and coordination of operational and functional area training with a focus on driving the skilled and semi-skilled training program. This role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and responsibilities include partnering with the Site Leadership team to identify other SMEs to assist with the execution of hands-on training. This position provides leadership, guidance, and follow-through to support the completion of departmental sustainment goals and objectives by delivering breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Culture.</p> <ul> <li>Works closely with Plant Leadership to develop and/or expand the skilled and semi-skilled training program </li><li>Creates and coordinates materials and facilities for training sessions, including handouts, supplies, technology, and virtual/physical conference rooms where appropriate </li><li>Creates training calendars that meet the needs of the training program. </li><li>Facilitates training meetings or events and coordinates external trainers when necessary. </li><li>Assesses employees for training needs and reports on assessment results </li><li>Coordinates training and tracks sign offs of employees as they begin and progress through skilled and semi-skilled training programs </li><li>Tracks progress of employees through skilled and semi-skilled training program, escalating to leadership when delays arise </li><li>Develops, maintains, and coordinates the operational and functional area SMEs in order to ensure effective training </li><li>Ensures all employees and leaders at the Site are assigned to the correct trainings, and that completion of training is in accordance with the training program. </li><li>Tracks and reports status of training priorities and initiatives </li><li>Monitors program effectiveness and recommend improvements </li><li>Facilitates specific and targeted CI training at the Site level </li><li>Analysis of data to identify Kaizen opportunities </li><li>Participate in Kaizen events to drive sustainable improvements </li><li>Establishes and drives productivity pipeline roadmaps across departments and facility </li><li>Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously </li></ul> <p>Frequencies: Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Constant (67-100%)</p> <p>Years of Experience · Two years manufacturing/production processes · Two years creating and facilitating training programs</p> <p>Education Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Business or Similar</p> <p>License / Certifications None</p> <p>Skills & Abilities · Knowledgeable in foundational training methodologies · Communicate in English to give and acknowledge instructions/problems; Bi-lingual a plus. · Working knowledge of CI methodologies and tools · Must have excellent oral and written communication skills · Strong self-confidence · Strong will to drive change · Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with autonomy · Must be accurate, detail-oriented and maintain the utmost confidentiality · Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. · Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. · Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. · Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form. · Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks. · Excellent record keeping and follow-up skills. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while at the same time making sound decisions.</p> <p>Technology · Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint</p> <p>Postural Demands Frequency</p> <p>Sitting Occasional</p> <p>Standing Frequent</p> <p>Walking Frequent</p> <p>Bending/Stooping Occasional</p> <p>Lifting Demands Frequency</p> <p>Lift up to waist Occasional</p> <p>Lift on up to shoulder Occasional</p> <p>Lift on up to overhead Occasional</p> <p>Carry on up to 25 feet Occasional</p> <p>Carry up stairs Occasional</p> <p>Other: None</p> <ul> <li>On-Site: This role requires 100% onsite attendance to perform the essential functions of the role </li><li>Significant interaction with associates in multiple locations such as Wheeling or Beaver Dam </li></ul> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.</p> <p>The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $73,000 and $93,000.
